On the Cripe Stage…
Jagged Little Pill reimagines Alanis Morissette’s iconic 1995 album into a contemporary musical that delves into the complexities of a seemingly perfect suburban family. Set in a small affluent town in Connecticut, the story centers on Mary Jane Healy, a mother grappling with past traumas and addiction, while balancing her family as they confront issues including sexual assault, gender identity, and societal expectations. Through powerful performances and Morissette’s evocative music that defined a generation, this award winning musical weaves together themes of family, healing, and empowerment. It’s a fearless, exhilarating celebration of hope, self-discovery, and the messy beauty of being human.

The acting was superb
So good! The story was emotional and real. Laughs and tears! The cast was well chosen and they were so great!
Best cast I have seen in a long time, anywhere! They belong in NYC along with the crew! I love the choreography where dancers were all around expressing the feelings of individuals, reviving memories, and creating an atmosphere that enveloped the cast and the audience. The script is fantastic! It taps into teen angst, parenting (moms & dads), marriage, peer pressure in adulthood as well as youth, human rights, addiction, rape and overcoming grave obstacles in life. It does this in a way that really triggers deep rooted emotions and insight. My favorite Chance show to date!
Audio was great, the performers were amazing, absolutely loved the show.
