Debra Ehrhardt presents…
Look What Fell Out De Mango Tree is the newest play from Jamaican-born playwright and performer Debra Ehrhardt—a funny, raw, and deeply moving story inspired by her own life.
Blending humor, heartbreak, and revelation, the play explores the hidden stories that shape us long before we understand them. At its heart is a daughter trying to make sense of her past and the complicated love between parents and children. Like many families, hers was built on love—but also on silence, secrets, and things never spoken aloud. As children, we rarely see the full picture. The missing pieces of our family histories can quietly shape our fears, our choices, and the relationships we build as adults. When a long-buried truth finally surfaces, it forces a reckoning that reframes everything she thought she knew about her family—and about herself. Through laughter, vulnerability, and powerful storytelling, Look What Fell Out De Mango Tree takes audiences on a journey from confusion to clarity, from hurt to forgiveness. It reminds us that parents often do the best they can with the tools they were given, and that freedom begins the moment we are brave enough to face the truth. Funny, intimate, and profoundly human, this true story invites audiences to see a piece of their own families reflected onstage.
This show is recommended for ages 16 and over because of mature content.

Williams said although he is writing two musicals and had very little time to spare, he was so impressed with the material and quality of the actors, he wanted to direct this piece.
